Yesterday was a wonderful day in the "country" at the St. Elizabeth plantation. Here's a couple of my favorite shots from our time there. It's always relaxing...lots of people to talk to...and enough food to feed an army. Sam skipped his nap and played outside most of the day, while Zach napped for a long time in the afternoon. I felt like I was on vacation. Sam loved the backyard swing and asked for others to ride with him several times. He and I played a preschool version of pingpong in the carport until he hit the ball into the engine of the riding mower -- that was fun trying to get it out with the help of others, of course.

Zach struggled to enjoy himself when he was awake -- he seemed to be aimlessly wandering among strange people from room to room and just wasn't sure where he was supposed to be. He had a fever off and on throughout the day too which didn't help. However, once he sat down with someone-- he'd hang with them for a long time. Counting (and eating) crackers with Great-Gammie occupied him for awhile ... he's saying, "cheez".
looks like fun. glad you had a good thanksgiving.
