We tend to use directory assistance a lot because everything in our city is in so much transition and new phone numbers may not be in the most recently published phone books or even online. However, these calls (411) cost us over $1 for each when we use our cell phones. A friend recently told me about 1-800-FREE-411 that is completely free. You have to listen to a silly ad but if it will save a buck, I'm cool with that. Here's their website. I promise it works.
