We went to the doctor this morning for Zach's 9mo. well visit -- unfortunately, he's not "well" -- ear infection in left ear only. I really think he was better, but just last night he woke screaming and snotty again. Sheesh. His stats: 21 lbs. 8oz. and 28 inches -- 50th percentile. He's trying so hard to crawl. He usually lunges for whatever he wants, but still doesn't make an actual forward scooting or crawling motion. Even though he's had so many ear infections, you really wouldn't know it -- he's all smiles, loves attention, loves variety in meals (finger stuff and spoonfed stuff), and is certainly a pleasure to be around.
Sam's ear is clear and he's been a delight. His words are becoming sentences and some creative thought (not just imitating!). His memory amazes me. He's learned that "Daddy works at church", "Mimie works at the bank", "Mama works at home", "Sam works at home", "Grandpa and Grandma Moyer live in Pencilbania", "Grandpa Buddy lives across the lake", and he knows that Uncle Rob and Aunt 'tina live near Tucker's (his buddy) house. He's becoming a huge helper around the house -- takes his plate to the sink after meals (just like his dad!), brings shoes and jacket to go outside and loves to find things with directions. He's getting better at brushing his teeth with help -- we visit the dentist next week for the second time. He continues to love on Zach at every opportunity and tries to comfort him when he's not happy. ;) His absolute favorite toys are Little People animals and it's fun to hear his "conversations" while playing with them.
