Zach's favorite color is yellow. Sam's is orange. We have yellow and orange plates. We have an orange cup. No yellow cup. So, naturally, Zach had been asking for a yellow cup.
Over the weekend, I pulled many boxes down from the attic in an effort to minimize clutter and create more storage space for stuff that really needs to be stored. Lo and behold, I found THE yellow cup.
This is a yellow cup with a history. At home, when I was growing up, we used these yellow cups for every meal time. When my sister found that Mom had them out to sell at a garage sale several years ago, she scooped them up (along with the signature Moyer blue [ice cream] bowls). Being the nostalgic type, she passed them out ... each of the siblings received one yellow cup and one blue bowl. Mine came in the mail and had made their way to the attic to tell their story to my kids one day. The time came.
And, now Zach has a yellow cup. Who knows? Maybe Eli will like blue.
That is such a fun little story!
