Who would have thought that we could find some solitude and beauty just a hop, skip and a jump from New Orleans? We (along with Doug's fam) stayed in this nifty cabin, called
Southern Comfort, in Poplarville, Mississippi, just 90 minutes away for an extra long weekend. Fishing. Boating. Campfires. Fireworks. Hot tub. Golf cart rides. Puzzles. Games. Movies. Family. Sleeping in. Staying up late. Yummy food. Puzzles. No internet. No cell service. No TV. Memories.

This view was from the back of the cabin, a constant reminder that the real world was just a short path away. The weekend was just what our family of 5 needed after two very busy weeks for Doug, and we're hoping it's enough rest to get us through the remainder of the summer which doesn't look any less eventful. Why am I weary just thinking about it? And, just like that, I'm reminded to live in the moment.
Dreamy!!
