MomMom and PBU

More good times. Mom and Dad took us to Souderton Homes to visit my grandmother whom we affectionately call MomMom. We enjoyed a nice visit in her apartment while the boys dug in her toy basket and played with some of the same things I remember playing with as a child. She looked so good ... having gone through hip surgery in February, she seemed stronger and more upbeat than our last visit. Lunch was yummy at the quaint Apple Orchard Cafe on site.

We missed the first part of the the PBU vs. Keystone College women's soccer game, but we saw plenty of field action. Our own Emily Zilich (Berean's summer intern) is a captain for this team that my sister Joy coaches, so "Go, Emily!" could be heard often from Sam as he watched intently for at least 30 minutes. I don't think he'll ever forget that Em plays soccer. They won so we were happy, even though Coach and Em seemed to think they hadn't done as well as they should have. Doug and I loved seeing more of the PBU world as Em showed us around campus and we reminisced about our college years. In spite of serious lack of naps for little boys, we survived dinner at Nifty Fifty's, a favorite for Em. My pepperoni pizza sub was yummy, but the peanut butter oreo milkshake that Doug got was over the top.
