Emily evidence

In case you didn't catch all the details, our church was privileged to have Emily Z.... as our summer intern helping specifically with the hurricane relief ministry. She greeted work teams from all over, arranged their sleeping arrangements at our church, provided job assignments, supported them in every way while they were here, and encouraged us a long the way. Even though she had to go back to PA in the midst of a lot of crazyiness for our family, we've felt her absence and miss her a lot.

Here's the left-behind Emily evidence:
~ Cleaning sippy cups has taken on a whole new method...includes a smell test
~ Cooking is an art and each meal/dish is to be savored...add a new spice, make a new combination, just do it, you can always order pizza if it's horrible, but usually it will be delicious.
~ No frosty frothy lattes have been served in the last two weeks.
~ Scrambled eggs are now made Zilich-style (no milk, Tony's, and cheese).
~ When picking up a smoothie or snowball or beignets or coffee, the rule is to call home and ask if anyone else wants one. (ok, so I just made that up, but I think it's good!)
~ A little action at the local fitness center--hip hip hooray for me!
~ It's much more common to text each other.
~ We all sit on the couch facing the door on Wed. nights waiting for her to walk thru the door! LOL :(
~ "Peace out" is a reminder of good times.

We miss you, girl. Your presence is a sweet aroma...we're thankful to have had a whiff. LOL

  1. Please tell that crazy woman to call, e-mail, text or whatever to let us know she's alive. We've left several messages and haven't heard from her yet. We miss her.
